When a Loved One Passes Away, Is it Good to See Them in Your Dreams?

Some weeks ago, I did a divination with a young lady, and she was satisfied. As usual, I always ask my clients if they have any questions. She said yes, she did, after which she asked me, “Where’s my mother? How come my mother did not show up in the reading?” She was anxious to hear from her mother who had transitioned some time ago.

I felt a wave of sadness come over me. I sighed and asked her, why?

She was puzzled. “Well… I have not dreamt her since she passed away. I think that’s odd. She’s my mom. I thought she might have a message for me in the reading.”

I asked her. “Why do you want to hear from your mother? Are you okay with your mother leaving wherever she is in the world of spirit to come and speak here in your divination?”

She answered, “Yes.”

For a split second, I really wished the residuals of her mother would have chimed in to give her some comfort, but that’s not really how it works at all times.

My mind flashed for a moment on all of the Hollywood psychics that have been promoted over the years, and certain misinformation that are taught to the general public when it comes to the so-called “dead”.

I began to explain certain things to her, and to her credit, at the end, she understood.

I told her, “My dear, for your mother to contact you from where ever she is within the Cosmological world is like a person from a third-world country trying to get a visa to America.”

What I meant by this was, when a person transitions, the spirit that inhabited the body for all the years that it lived in this Earth’s reality leaves immediately and has no emotional attachment to whatever it has left behind, including its own body. If the consciousness of the person who is now in the Higher World wishes to send a message, or visit, through divination, dreams, or any other medium to a loved one in this Earth reality, there is what I can best describe as a “spiritual passport” that that spirit’s Higher Self must apply for before it is ever able to do so.

This is because there is a Universal Body, a Federation, that keeps watch over all of mankind, both within Earth’s Reality and the Cosmological world. Now, there are times when a diviner can pick up a message from a loved one, but bear in mind that that “loved one” where ever he or she is in their current reality, is not aware that its Higher Self is communicating with a diviner in another reality.

The Higher Self of these many “selves” living their own realities, is the Master of all of them, and it communicates to the Diviner if the Diviner can rise to tap into that frequency where the two, in spirit, can meet and form a communication. Whether or not the diviner can interpret the communication clearly, depends on the inner development of that diviner.

One should not wish to see or hear from a passed loved one regularly. If you do happen to dream of them, or hear from them regularly, it means that the Higher Self of this loved one is too close to the lower reality that it has just departed. That Consciousness is supposed to be supporting the spirit that is now living another reality.

So for it to be in the lower reality of where its charge has departed tells us that its charge, in its new life, is not functioning 100% because half of its being is still attached to its old and lesser life. And by “functioning” I mean it can have health problems, disability, depression, anxiety, stagnation in its new life, etc. Because remember it lives another life, but the life that it lives is not whole because a layer of itself lags behind and is attached to its old reality. So the Light of this being is dim as it can not evolve while a part of its self is left behind.

Those are the Earth-Bounds, and waywards, and the ones that are most often commissioned by obeah men.

And unfortunately, those celebrities who humans idolize even after death, and call upon, fall into this category as well. What did we think they meant by “Rest in Peace“? But humans take Rest in Peace to mean RIP, shred the spirit apart and hold them by the foot to stay on the Earth.

For all of my years in Africa, as a strong spiritualist, I have hardly ever accounted ghosts. I have had run-ins with Shigidi (which is when an image is carved and incantatory word is pronounced over it so that is can be used to terrorize a victim”), Oro (which… I cannot even to begin to explain this terrible one), and maybe only once or twice a ghost had come into my presence.

But let me tell you the reason why ghosts are much rarer to experience in Africa (but there are plenty ghosts in Jamaica, probably looking to win election now).

This is because most of the tribes on the continent still practice ancient funerary rites in sending off the spirit and settling the body that it once inhabited (though this is not the case for everyone). A series of things has to be done and incantatory words would be said, and then there is nothing about this spirit that will haunt anyone still walking the Earth.

Why? Because the whole of that spirit has been successfully sent off to its next journey.

Once, a young man wrote me a letter telling me he wanted to get in contact with his late mother. This is understandable, because to lose a loved one is disheartening. So I share a portion of this letter with you, and at the end I’ll explain.

“Hi Obara,

I missed your last session, but I will make sure I attend today.

I have a question.

Recently, I sent a lady to communicate with my mom who is now late, to ask her if she has any message for me

She was able to see her in the other world and told her I sent her.

As she was communicating with her, my mom father who is also late appeared and told the lady not to disturb his daughters sleep, immediately he removed something like a belt and wanted beating the lady but thank God the lady’s father who is also late came to save her and told her not to go on such mission again.”

The spiritualist is even lucky that she came out of this experience alive.

Now… it is a possibility that she could have contacted his mother or… she might have contacted something that only posed as the mother, and not the actually spirit herself. Because what is often unknown by those who play with spiritual things is that malevolent entities are there to trick and deceive humankind, and they can take on the form of anyone, even to face another spiritualist who believes they are contacting someone specific.

Spirituality can not be taken willy nilly. You have to have understanding of the invisible world to enter it.

Since the recent spiritual wave, social media has been filled with people who proclaim themselves prophets and masters and shamans and teachers. Perhaps one or two among the droves of masqueraders may be genuine, but most often many recycle what they have read or heard elsewhere or seek validation of power and so a whole host problems begin.

The ones with true knowledge, those ones who are most high sits low. These ones most often do not advertise themselves and are selective with what they share and with whom they share it with. Because to give a whole chicken leg to a newborn is harmful. This is why in Jewish diet, it is a taboo to eat both meat and milk together, because it is the interpretation of separating the “wheat from the tares”.

There is something that is often done where at the spot of an accident where a person or a mass of persons die, there is a memorial or shrine set up for them, with flowers and candles and pictures. While it may be okay to do this for a time, it should not remain there forever. The human transitioned hot, either through gunshot, car accident or some freak accident, the spirit flies out of the body immediately, but its residuals do not follow the main spirit that immediately ascends, and so they (those layers) linger behind and are bound to that site by that shrine that has been created by the community or the family.

Ergo, an earth bound has been born! And so will it linger on Earth to create havoc among men and possibly more accidents or tragedy at the site of its death.

Overall, when it comes the time for a loved one, a friend, or someone you care about to transition, one should pray at the moment of the occurrence that the spirit finds itself across the many waters that it has to travel to its home.

It is good that we never forget them, but we should know, just as we have to continue with our lives here, trying to fulfill our purpose, so must they settle themselves in their newfound life and living.

Remember no one, ever truly “dies”.

PS: Note that I wrote the word “regularly” a few paragraphs up when referring to dreaming of a passed loved one. This means that on occasions that they do make contact, it will be to someone in the family whose vibration is high enough for the transitioned loved one to communicate with. If not, they can present themselves to a neighbor, a friend, a cousin, or even the butcher, who ever is vibrating high enough for that loved one to successfully make contact.
