DO GOOD AND GOOD WILL FOLLOW -WHICH ROAD WILL YOU CHOOSE?

two-paths

I receive many emails per day from people all over the world, so many people read this blog even though they do not comment and I thank them for that, although interaction with them would be nice, I think, but to each his own. Among the emails there are people who wants to just “big mi up” for the blog and its content and for me sharing my life experiences, giving advice, teaching and all that I do here. There are those who needs help, and some who just want someone to share something with. I always respond and am attentive to all who reach out to me, as I do love people, yes I know some ah dem bad and wicked, but I believe in giving everyone a chance, for a while at least, do you agree? If no, please state why, and I am sure you will have valid reasons, but nevertheless…… I have met some horrible people in my lifetime. The wicked baby’s father’s equally wicked mother was one, but one who spoke softly and with a smile ( de pitchfork hidden behind or in her frock), those are the most deadly.

This is why to this day, I do not like mother in laws, or in laws period! I have been traumatised by this man and his evil family, who I Obara Meji have risen above, and by this I mean, God has elevated me through his teachings and I have no relationship with them anymore. I thank the good Lord for that. Kudos to the good ones (in laws) and for all of you who enjoy your spouses families, but the experience I had with this man and his overbearing criticizing mumma and her shrew (as in character) personalities she called daughters and the dreadful son (not the wicked man but his balding brother, big up all “good” bald head men lol)…….”mi God almighty!”, as we say in Jamaica! I have gone off topic, and I am sorry for that, but I could write books, not A book, but books on the memory of those people, but let me shake them off and continue.

There are times when I open an email and I see someone asking to be my student, or wanting to learn about spirituality, or initiate in tradition. When I see a student, a true one, someone who is on a path and is serious and also humble,I know. Regardless of them wanting to be, their desire, I know the real ones who were sent (by their heads) to me. I have so much to teach, so much to hand down, but to who? Other than my children who can I release to what I suffered to learn?, who? Such a pity, because I have not yet found the person.

When a person is truly on a path, really ready to become a student, I know them right off. There is a difference from them wanting to learn the art and craft of metaphysics and or spirituality, or even going as far as initiating into tradition. Most of whom are interested, I have realized are seeking power, power of Obeah, Voodoo, Juju. They see themselves as this powerful person, who is able to unseat Kings, break up peoples lives, speak incantations and bring all that they want to them, wuk some serious and harmful Obeah, I am not about that, I know the work both ways, good and bad, I can only walk one path and I have chosen it.

I have met many of those (bad people, people with agenda and with the fake smile and complaining lips), and it make me so sad. I have had emails of people telling me that they want to learn obeah to be able to defend themselves…what????…..Really??? Yes this is true and the saddest part is so many people ask this question, this is why they want to learn. They are not attracted to this world because of the goodness, the knowledge, the power to heal, help and assist, they want power. Unfortunately, they will find another source when I turn them away, often times before I turn them away I will try to counsel them, letting them know that this is not the way to go or it is not supposed to be the reason for wanting to learn, but I realize with ALL, this is their true nature and character, and nothing that I say will change them. It has saddened me, and often times when I am alone, I think about them, these people who are bent on doing bad work, learning the beautiful art of spirituality/tradition or Obeah and using it to do ill. In my mind I see some born wicked and are here for that purpose, teachers they maybe perhaps, this is possible, and others I see as beaten down and tired of how life and people who they have let into their lives have treated them. I want to call them cowards, but I hesitate, because that will be judging them and as I have often written here on this site, “you never know anothers circumstance or how they got to be where they are or do the things that they do, so do not judge!”

I want to sit them all down and warn them of how the Universe works and how their actions can affect the world, tell them that the Universe will take note and they will have to pay, or even worse, their children. In moments like these, when I am alone and thinking like this, I imagine myself (doe laugh) like the little train that could, singing “I wish I could, I wish I could, I wish I could!”. Ok, ok, I do not do that, but it seemed quite fun here as I type, so laugh with me, even for a bit.

My people, do good and good will follow. Think good and your possibilities are endless, Psalms, of David says this;

 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.”

I do not have to be Christian to quote a good Shakespeare line or two or whoever wrote this poem which is found in the bible, the point is there is wisdom here.

Here with these words the person is affirming that no one can harm him..this is the vibration he is sending out, and if he or she believes it enough, and are aligned with the conscious and subconscious with truth, then they have nothing to fear.

In the traditional practice of Ifa, Orunmila, Ifa teaches Iwa pele (good and gentle character), read this;

Odu IFA (the Holy African scripture of the Yoruba) SAYS: Perform truthfulness, perform righteousness, Perform kindness, avoid wickedness, Perform the truth, perform righteousness; Is the one that IMALE supports. Who is IMALE except OLODUMARE (GOD). In Eji Ogbe (Eji Ogbe is an Odu, the first one) IFA says: I behave as my GOD creates me. I do good always, I am honest, too. I do no evil, Neither do I harbor evil thoughts; L’est I die wretched. This is because Whatever we initiate in our youth Will persist ’til old age. These are the declarations of the Oracle for ORUNMILA and the 401 IRUNMOLE, When coming from Heaven to the earth. OLODUMARE instructed them to do good always. Only ORUNMILA applied honesty of thought To overturn all evil machinations.

Ase Ase Ase SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT… The Ancestors connect us to the spirit realm and interceed in our behalf. They guide us through our journey. Because of our Ancestors, many of us have been given a second and third chances to fulfill our destiny. Because of our Ancestors, many of us survive. The development of IWA PELE (good character) will allow us to, one day, become Ancestors, who can interceed on behalf of those who come after us. Only elevated spirits carry the Ase needed to elevate a nation and enlighten the world. Having IWA PELE will elevate and enlighten our spirit.

From Assata’s forum.

So, Iwa Pele is not a matter of obeying some set of God given moral rules. It is about working within the logical matrix of the Universe to improve our lives without damaging those around us or the Universe we must live in. You see, it’s not a matter of not throwing McDonalds’ wrappers on the ground because it’s politically correct. It’s a matter of not throwing them there because we must live on this earth, our children and grand children must live here, and to pollute or harm it is simply stupid…or bad character. Western religion thought you were too stupid to understand that, and so created “God’s list” for you to obey. The Yoruba knew you were intelligent enough and simply asked for good character in your life. One of the interesting points here is how things do work. For years people who have committed to a ceremony, initiation or cleansing almost always begin to feel better, and have their lives go better, prior to the event. How does this happen? Because, once you begin to align yourself with the genuine energies of the Universe (and the commitment begins that process) you automatically slip into the forward flowing stream of energy that helps your life. This is not because God approves of your behavior or because some passing grade was achieved in regards to your moral behavior! It is because you used your intellect, wisdom and knowledge to make the right choice that would benefit yourself, those you love and the Universe you live in. It is not God’s reward to you. It’s your reward to yourself for understanding how it all works. Let me explain it one more way. If you take a 220-volt appliance and stick it into a 110-volt outlet you get bad results. You blow out the fuses, burn some wires, destroy an appliance or start a fire. It’s not because you were immoral. It’s not God’s punishment. It is simply the Natural result of how things work…and how they do not. If your life is going badly it’s for the same reasons. That’s what Iwa Pele and good character are all about…identifying the actions and behaviors in our life and relationships that WORK – not just for your short-term benefit, but also for long-term results. But, if you keep thinking it’s about following God’s precepts, you’re never going to learn to think and use the gifts that are the Natural part of God’s creation. Ifa believed you were not only capable of that, but that it was your responsibility if you wanted to be healthy, happy and fulfilled. The Ifa Foundation believes the same. Blessings, Oluwo Philip Neimark .

I urge you all to continue on your journey, and while I cannot tell you the road to choose, it HAS to be your choice, I pray that you will consider the road that will never hurt even a fly, or your name never once written down in heaven in red ink!, If You do not care about yourself, think of your children and the legacy that you are leaving for them, and that is to pay for your crimes.

Obara Meji.

Blessings Ms. Obara! I really liked this post. When I was growing up- I grew up Christian (Pentecostal at that), the concept of heaven and hell plagued me. I wanted to know why can’t we just be good for goodness’ sake? I figured that the creator would take care of the rest after that. Through IFA- I found and learned more about Iwa Pele- where my consciousness is as of now it simply means (to me) being good for goodness’ sake as a way of life. As a way of being. Thank you IFA for finding me!!! Thank you Olodumare,… Read more »

Hi Everyone…it just isn’t easy living around persons who are unjust..but I guess for some of us it’s part of the training ..a test maybe..as part of our spiritual journey.. sometimes I just feel like giving up..people are so hard to deal with and so unfair…but I know I must carry on..and I have been led here..as part of my journey.

Stay blessed!!

Another great article! This is the problem I have with some of these “spiritual” workers. There is no morality in what they do. They will take someone’s money to cast a spell on me, then take my money to remove the spell. Whose side are they on? Money, I guess.

I have a question: Is it possible to reach a point where you are so spiritually strong that curses, spells, etc can’t reach you? Thank you.

I tell you most dangerous are the quiet and smiley ones- I have been there- Obara I believe just as you do good and good will follow you – funny we often have no idea when good is following us because we equate good with materialism-

Ase! in reference to the title of this post. I
Hello all bloggers and readers.

I’M not perfect , but I must say that I live in accordance to the laws of life. I most certainly don’t abide by biblical “rules/laws” because they aren’t natural to my spirit.
